Health Department Announces New Waste Hauler Dashboard

09 April 2026

The Putnam County Department of Health now has an online dashboard to help residents and businesses find the right waste hauler for their needs, based on their location. The health department permits both solid waste and septic waste haulers to ensure waste is handled, transported, and disposed of safely. This helps the haulers comply with local and state regulations, while also protecting public health, drinking water, and the environment. Additionally, the dashboard provides a way to search for haulers that service residential customers, those that accept construction waste, and even more. A list of waste types and examples is available on the website to help search the dashboard easily. Visit putnamcountyny.gov/health/recycle/#haulers to explore the new dashboard.
