The Putnam County Department of Health is excited to announce two maternal child health registered nurses will be hosting a New Moms Support Group at Desmond-Fish Library. The library is located at 472 Route 403 Garrison, NY 10524. The nurses first appearance will be on Friday, May 8, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The support group will continue to meet on the second Friday of each month at the library from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

No pre-registration is required; just stop by! This group is open to moms with children from birth to 3 years of age. It’s a great space to meet other moms, talk, and feel supported. A bilingual certified lactation counselor is available to check your baby’s weight and provide breastfeeding support.  You’ll have the chance to ask questions about developmental milestones, safe sleep, vaccinations, and more. Nothing is off limits, this is a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
