Welcome to the Putnam County Public Access Portal. Currently any existing records for well and septic systems within Putnam County are available for searching and reviewing. In order to properly search these records, you need to know the following information:
Town where the property is located
Tax Map # (Section/Block/Lot) of the property. If you need to find the Tax Map # of the property you are looking for and you know the address, please use Image Mate Online, which can be found at the following: https://putnam.sdgnys.com/search.aspx
Select the appropriate folder. For Well & Septic, select Health Dept
STEP 3
You can now select any secondary folders. In the example of a search for Well & Septic records, you would simply select Well & Septic. Choose the folder appropriate to the search you are doing.
STEP 4
Continue to select additional folders to narrow down your search. In the example of a search for Well & Septic records, you would now select the Town your parcel is located in, then Residential or Commercial (the majority of properties are residential).
STEP 5
You will now see the results of the records that are available in the folder. You can scroll through the results to find your desired record or use the Search function located at the top of the page (Search in Weblink). When using the Search in Weblink feature, select the arrow to the left of the search bar and select current folder. This will increase the accuracy of the search as it will limit the results to the selected folder.
STEP 6
Click on the folder or record you want to view. If a folder, you will see the final records within that folder.
For records, you will see an icon with a small arrow.
Select the record and it will open in a separate window. You can view or download the image.
STEP 7
To return and search for additional records, (if you were viewing a record, you can close that window and return to the original search window), use the navigation bar in the upper left. This shows the current folder you are in and allows you to navigate to any lower folders. Simply select the folder you wish to return to.
