Who is the Youth Business Market For?

The Youth Business Market is for our younger generation. From ages 5 - 17, these individuals will get the opportunity to learn about business and enjoy the art giving a service and the value of a dollar. 

Why the Youth Business Market?

It is more than just a Lemonade Stand. The Putnam County Youth Bureau and Friends are teaming up to offer a hands-on way for youth ages 5 to 17 to learn about small business by selling their products and services to the public during Youth Business Market held at Tilly Foster Farm on June 8th.

What can our youth sell at the Youth Business Market?

Your youth can sell a variety of things for the possibilities are endless when you use your imagination. The categories are:

  • Crafts
  • Food
  • Collectibles
  • Services

Keep in mind that when submitting your registration
all ideas MUST BE APPROVED before we can
confirm your application.

How does the
Youth Business Market Work?

We treat this as if your youth is a vendor at a Farmers Market or Trade show. You (the parent) will sign up with your child/teenager and get a permit. Come up with a name for your group that would act like a business name. Then you will tell us about what youd like to sell. We will then approve your application

When & Where is the
Youth Business Market?

Our Youth Business Market will be Sunday June 8th from 12 pm to 4 pm for all to enjoy!

Vendors Participating will be scheduled to sign in at registration and setup at 10 a.m. day of.

What to Expect

As a Patron

Expect a day where the community comes together to support our future young business leaders. Bring your family and friends. engage with the youth who are vending. enjoy food and different creatives that they are showcasing while enjoying beautiful tilly foster farm. This is a safe space for all to enjoy.

As a Vendor

Expect to have a day of high engagement from the community in support of your youths creatives. using your imagination you will to build an interactive showcase for all to enjoy. Many will come and visit your table. Expect to talk with patrons as they visit so that they can enjoy what you have to offer as well as leave with a smile.

Please remember to keep our farm clean and be respectful to everyone.

1. When and where will the Youth Business Market be held?

The Youth Business Market will be held on Sunday June 8th, 2025, at Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster, NY.

2. What time will the Youth Business Market take place?

The Youth Business Market will run from 12:00PM-4:00PM.

3. What if it rains, will there be a Rain Date?

The Youth Business Market will be held, rain or shine.

4. If I would like to be a vendor, what do I have to do?

Youth and parent guardian(s) will complete a registration application form and pay a non-refundable fee of $5.00 to become a vendor and participate in the Youth Business Market.

The $5.00 non-refundable fee covers an individual vendor or a group vendor.

6. When will I/we know if I/we are approved to participate?

Once the application form and the $5.00 fee are submitted, you will be provided with confirmation.

If you are selling food/drink items, the Putnam County Health Department will reach out to you via email/phone (provided from your registration application) to do a final confirmation of approval.

7. If I am a vendor, where will I be able to unload/Drop off my items?

All vendors will be directed to an unloading/drop off section of the Youth Business Market area. Volunteers will be available to assist you in dropping off your items and bringing them to your assigned vendor location.

8. If I am a vendor, what time can I set up by booth?

All vendors can start setting up as early as 10:00AM.

9. In addition to the items I am selling, what else do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your own table(s), chair(s), and a 10 x 10 tent (if needed for the weather, please remember the event is rain or shine).

If you don’t intend on purchasing food items, from other Youth Business Market vendors, personal lunch or snack is recommended.

10. How much space will I have for my booth?

Each vendor spaces are a 10 x 10 space.
