The 40th Annual Youth Awards Dinner was a memorable evening recognizing the dedication and service of outstanding young volunteers in Putnam County. Held on April 10, 2025, at the Putnam County Golf Course, the event celebrated 19 exceptional high school students from various school districts who have made meaningful contributions to their communities.
Honored for their commitment to service were Ryan Martin and Vanessa Mazzei from Brewster High School; Karissa Escaravage, Natalie Escaravage, Cameron Felsenfeld, Kayleigh Harney, Svetlana Kaplan, Jorja Tompuri, and Colin Weindel from Carmel High School; Christian Ferreira and Josephine Foley-Hedlund from Haldane High School; Madelynn Behrendt, Cade Freehill, Adam Geller, Keira Hammond, and William Lopes from Mahopac High School; Andrew Barti from Putnam Valley High School; Robert Maxwell from Maxwell Academy; and Olivia Fitzsimmons from The Masters School.
In addition, the James F. Reitz Adult Award was presented to Joseph Tock of Mahopac in recognition of his contributions to the community.
The evening was a celebration of service and a reminder of the incredible efforts these individuals have put forth to better their communities.

Mission Statement
The Putnam County Youth Bureau receives funding from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and is responsible for administering four state funding streams.
These programs serve youth who are at risk of becoming involved or further involved in the juvenile justice or human services system. They specifically aim to divert youth from placement in out of home settings.
