News & Press Release

The Farmers Markets in Putnam County are open once again this year with fresh produce and much more.

Farm Fresh Putnam County Field Guide

10 June 2026

From Cold Spring to Patterson, residents can buy everything from baked goods and honey to flowers and other farm wares while also supporting local farmers and small businesses. Putnam’s Farmer Markets provide access to peak seasonal foods while helping to link the community with the region's agricultural roots.

Shopping for produce at your local farmers market supports the local economy and encourages healthy, sustainable farming practices. Many markets also double as community events, hosting neighbors, local nonprofits and vendors alike during the season of growth. They participate in the state farmers market nutrition programs, which help to increase access to fresh foods for families and seniors, so they play a critical role in making it possible for all community members to access healthy, locally grown food.

This season, shop local, eat fresh food and savor the best Putnam County farmers markets have to offer.

Shop Local, Shop Putnam!
