Putnam County Clerk Michael C. Bartolotti hosted a Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Putnam County Historic Courthouse. Clerk Bartolotti administered the Oath of Allegiance to 33 new citizens from 20 countries.

The Honorable David J. Squirrell served as the officiating Judge and offered court remarks.
American Legion Post 1080 advanced the colors, Danica Day and Carissa Reid, Carmel High School students sand a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America. Rabbi Avi Korer from Chabad of Putnam County led the prayer and Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne did the welcoming remarks. Karl Rohde, Director of Putnam County Veterans service Agency led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Lauren Shields from LiveOnNY a double organ recipient was the guest speaker.
