Seasonal Laborers
The Putnam County Department of Public Works is seeking Seasonal Laborers to fill several 14-week or 26-week positions in the Highways and Parks divisions. 40 hour weeks at $18 per hour!
DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES:
Highways: Duties include but are not limited to snow removal; brush, foliage removal; guide rail repair; signage repair; roadside and drainage maintenance; work zone traffic control, highway litter removal and beautification, etc.
Parks: Duties include but are not limited to snow removal, lawn maintenance, janitorial duties; litter cleanup; brush and tree trimming; trail maintenance; special event setup and cleanup, general construction labor; etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There is no minimum experience, education or training, but some experience in heavy manual labor is desirable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a current valid New York State Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s license may be required.
SCHEDULE: 8 hour shift, Monday through Friday, 40hrs/week, Temporary
PAY: $18.00 per hour.
