County Executive Announces, “Trailblazing with Byrne” Constituent Forums
CARMEL, NY – Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne announced today the scheduling of his annual “Trailblazing with Byrne” constituent forums, following on the heels of local State of the County addresses at all four Putnam County senior centers. Each event begins with a scheduled time of informal discussion about various topics regarding Putnam County. This is then followed by a brief walk along a nearby trail or walking path where some more informal conversation continues, and participants get to enjoy some exercise as they promote healthy living and take in the natural beauty of the area.
This year’s Trailblazing events will feature a number of parks, trails, and preserved open spaces throughout the county.
“I’ve done these forums for several years, even prior to being elected County Executive and they are always incredibly valuable for myself, my office, and I hope, for the residents that attend,” said Byrne. “I believe it’s important to meet with constituents face-to-face, update them on the work we’ve done, listen to their concerns, and learn from them about issues that matter most. And of course, I just enjoy highlighting our beautiful outdoor spaces and promoting healthy living with a fun walk outdoors.”
As he has done every year as County Executive, Byrne has committed to hosting constituent forums in each of the 6 towns in Putnam County.

Welcome Message
“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M.
