Early Learning Center Thanksgiving
Putnam County’s Early Learning Center (ELC) has been a success since the educational and daycare space located in Patterson opened its doors to pre-kindergarten and special needs schoolchildren in September. On November 21 ELC educators and early intervention staff held a family Thanksgiving lunch for approximately two-dozen students. Afterwards the children presented a hand-drawn banner reading “We are Thankful for Your Support” to County Executive Kevin Byrne, an early and consistent champion of the high-quality learning center housed in the Hudson Valley InterArts building on Jon Barrett Road.

Welcome Message
“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M. Byrne | Putnam County Executive
