Putnam County has many fantastic restaurants. From Korean to Mexican to Italian. Putnam has many options to satisfy any craving.

Welcome to our new segment, Dine Putnam. We will travel throughout the County to talk to restaurant owners and highlight their establishments.  Make your reservations today. Eat Local, Dine Putnam!

2. Café Piccolo (Mahopac, NY)

  • When did you open?
  Owner: I took over as the new owner two years ago. My family and I have been in the   
  restaurant business for around 40 years in the lower Westchester area.

  • What cuisine do you feature?
  Owner: Bakery

  • As the owner, what is your favorite item on your menu?
  Owner: Everything.

  • What is the most popular item on the menu?
  Owner: The Strawberry Shortcake

  • What is it about Putnam, that makes it ideal to open a business here?
  Owner: The residents of Putnam.

3. Kobu (Mahopac, NY)

  Owner: We opened in 2012.

  • What cuisine do you feature?
  Owner: Chinese/Japanese/Hibachi

  • What is the most popular item on the menu?
  Owner: Hibachi & Sushi

  • What is it about Putnam, that makes it ideal to open a business here?
  Owner: The residents of Putnam also the ability of having a dining experience along the
   lakefront.


4. Brooklyn Organic Kitchen (Mahopac, NY)

  Owner: Four years ago, summer of 2020.  

  • What cuisine do you feature?
  Owner: Organic/Fresh. A creative twist on classic meals with health supportive
  ingredients. Vegan alternative meals.

  • As the owner, what is your favorite item on your menu?
  Owner: The Tuscan Quinoa Bowl it is a nice warm dish.

  • What is the most popular item on the menu?
  Owner: The custom omelet. You can get it all day long.

  • What is it about Putnam, that makes it ideal to open a business here?
  Owner: The residents of Putnam. Putnam has been my home for 30 years. It is a safe and
  beautiful community, and I saw that there was a need in the area for a healthier eating
   option.

  Owner: Italian

  • As the owner, what is your favorite item on your menu?
  Owner: Everything … It’s authentic Italian.  

  • What is the most popular item on the menu?
  Owner: A few of the items: Lasagna, Squid Ink Linguini, Gnocchi. They are all delicious.

  Owner: Everything about Putnam. Putnam is a strong family feel community.
