Cleaning up the Community Events
~ The Village of Brewster and the Town of Southeast will be celebrating Earth Day with an Earth Day Clean Up on April 18th and April 19th.

~ Town of Putnam Valley is hosting an Earth Week Celebration April 15th-26th.
Celebrate Earth Week in Putnam Valley - Town of Putnam Valley
~ The Putnam County Health Department supports local sustainability efforts year-round by offering several recycling and waste reduction programs for residents. The first Household Hazardous Waste Collection event of 2026 will take place on Saturday May 2 at Fahnestock State Park and is open to Putnam County residents only. Residents can register for their time slot here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/putnam-county-residential-household-hazardous-waste-drop-off-day-registration-1985921957033?aff=oddtdtcreator. In addition, residents and community organizations can help keep our neighborhoods clean by borrowing litter clean-up supplies—including grabbers, gloves, safety vests, bags, cones, and flags—at no cost.
