NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the County Executive of the County of Putnam at Room 300 of the County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512 on the _27th__ day of   April 2022   at _4:30 and 6:30 p.m._____ concerning:

A LOCAL LAW

Amending the Code of the County of Putnam by adding a new Article II to Chapter 95 Entitled “GRANTING AND REQUESTING AID” in its entirety which was adopted by the Putnam County Legislature on April 5, 2022, by Resolution #64.

This Local Law Amends the Code of Putnam County by adding a new Article II to Chapter 95 entitled “GRANTING AN REQUESTING AID”, thus authorizing the County Executive to grant authority to the Putnam County Sheriff to grant or request police aid from another municipality as outlined in the General Municipal Law. Such grant of authority may be revoked at any time.
