We asked our followers on Facebook and Instagram, what is your favorite place to visit in Putnam County, and we got some great responses.
Each month we will want to hear from you on your favorite places to visit (attractions, historical sites, restaurants, shops etc.) and we will highlight them.

1) Vera’s Marketplace
Vera’s Market is a family-owned business with a lot to offer. They have everything from local fruits and vegetables to freshly made cheeses and pies, and a large selection of flowers and gardening supplies. Imported Italian cookies, pastas and sauces can be found lining the shelves of their market.

2) Mahopac Public Library
Libraries are a vessel of knowledge and the books within them allow readers to utilize their imagination. Mahopac Public Library offers daily activities for their patrons.

3) Lobster Hill Farm
Lobster Hill Farm is a first-generation regenerative farm on 75 acres in Brewster, NY. Focusing mainly on dairy goats and pastured poultry for meat and eggs with plans to expand that livestock to include meat goats, pigs, sheep, and a dairy cow. You can also experience a stay on the farm by spending a night or two at their cottage.

4) Brewster Ice Arena
Skate the day away at Brewster Ice Arena. Daily Public Sessions include Public Skating for recreational skaters of all levels, Freestyle for USFSA certified figure skaters, and Sticks & Pucks for free form Hockey. With three indoor ice rinks and one outdoor rink that’s open during the winter months.
