Putnam County Seeks Vendors for 3rd Annual Youth Business Market on June 14
Kids age 5 to 17 must register at https://putnamcountyny.gov/ybm
CARMEL, NY – Putnam County is excited to announce that registration is now open for youth vendors interested in participating in the 3rd Annual Youth Business Market (YBM) on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Young entrepreneurs looking to showcase and sell their products or services can now sign up at PutnamCountyNY.gov/YBM.
Building on the success of last two years, which have seen thousands of visitors and hundreds of youth vendors attend, the Youth Business Market provides a one-of-a-kind retail opportunity for young entrepreneurs to gain real-world business experience. Vendors will have the chance to sell handmade goods, food, collectibles, services, and more, all while engaging with the local community.
Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s event, saying, "When we first started this two years ago, we weren’t really sure what to expect. But, we we’ve been blown away by the creativity and determination of our young entrepreneurs. The Youth Business Market is an opportunity for them to hone their skills, build real businesses, and learn valuable lessons in commerce. We want these hardworking young entrepreneurs to stay in Putnam County where they and their businesses will grow and thrive."
The event is spearheaded by the Putnam County Youth Bureau, in partnership with local business leader Ed Santalone of Promenade on 6, and supported by multiple County departments, including Tourism, the Sheriff’s Office, DPW/Parks, and General Services/IT. It will once again be hosted at Tilly Foster Farm, demonstrating the County’s commitment to using public spaces for innovative and educational opportunities.
"This market is not just about selling products—it’s about inspiring the next generation of small business owners," added Byrne. "We encourage all interested young entrepreneurs to sign up and take advantage of this exciting opportunity."
Youth vendors interested in participating must register in advance. For more information and to sign up, visit PutnamCountyNY.gov/YBM or call the Youth Bureau at 845 808 1600.

Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M.
