Second Annual Putnam County Youth Business Market Sees Hundreds of Visitors
CARMEL, NY – Earlier this week the Second Annual Putnam County Youth Business Market, held at Tilly Foster Farm, was hailed as an outstanding success. The event drew hundreds of visitors who came to support more than 80 youth vendors showcasing an impressive array of products. The event was made possible by the dedicated public servants of the Putnam County Youth Bureau, in conjunction with the event’s Community Sponsor and Business Advisor Ed Santalone, owner of Promenade on 6 in Carmel.
The market was a vibrant showcase of youthful entrepreneurship, featuring items such as fine art, baked goods, 3D printed toys, plants, lemonade, chess lessons, face painting and more. Youth vendors and their families traveled from all over Putnam County and the tri-state area.
Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne praised the event's impact on the community: "Last year’s event was an instant success and I’m thrilled at the turnout of our second annual Youth Business Market! This is a testament to the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our young people. It’s inspiring to see so many families and community members come together to support our future business leaders. This event not only provided a valuable learning experience for our youth but also strengthened our community bonds."
With the success of the Second Annual Putnam County Youth Business Market, Byrne announced that as long as he is county executive, this event will continue on and serve as a platform for youth to learn and grow. The event was more than just a market; it was a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit and a promising sign of future successes.

Welcome Message
“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M.
