Memorial Breakfast for Late County Judge Inspires Compassionate Public Service
MAHOPAC, NY - On Sunday, February 2, County Executive Kevin Byrne was joined by interfaith leaders, elected officials, synagogue congregants, and members of the greater Mahopac community for the Putnam County Judge James Reitz Vision Breakfast at Temple Beth Shalom on Route 6. Participants offered remarks recalling the life of the dedicated public servant who passed away suddenly in 2019 and committed themselves to emulating Judge Reitz's example of impartial justice and compassion for all.

Welcome Message
“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M. Byrne | Putnam County Executive
