Carmel, NY – Earlier today, County Executive Kevin Byrne and Legislator Amy Sayegh unveiled a new sign at the Senator Vincent Leibell Veterans’ Residence of Putnam County. The Veterans’ Residence, located in the Town of Carmel, has recently undergone a number of exterior improvements in addition to the sign, including a new parking lot and repaving of the driveway.
The sign was donated by the Sons of the American Legion in Mahopac, whose members attended the unveiling, along with Sheriff Kevin McConville, Putnam County Veterans Service Agency Director Karl Rohde, Assemblyman Matt Slater, Legislator Joseph Castellano, Legislator Erin Lee Crowley, and representatives from the Putnam County Department of Public Works (DPW).
“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M. Byrne | Putnam County Executive
